An addictive, high-quality, musical marble run

I hadn’t heard of Xyloba until recently. I like that it is made by a social enterprise. It’s an ingenious product, and very well-made. In particular, the sound bars are well-tuned and consistently tuned, so that the melodies they play sound well. It’s not cheap, and you need quite a lot in order to make the whole of a tune (this set ‘plays’ just the first line of a number of Christmas songs, leaving you wanting more - to play the whole of Silent Night, for example, requires a lot of pieces), but it’s great fun and exciting setting a marble off for the first time. I can see myself buying more of this to be able to play more tunes, and even to make set-ups that play different tunes. The service from DaDa Kinder Store was excellent: quick, and responsive, and my orders arrived within a day and very well packed.

What to buy the musical man who has everything

This kept my husband busy all Christmas Day. We were surprised just how in tune the Marble Run is and how we could manage quite complicated rhythms. I fear he will be buying further units......
