Naef play objects stand for quality, durability, design and creativity. Kurt Naef – founder of the company Naef May 4, 1926 – November 30, 2006 Kurt Naef devoted over 60 years of his life to the material wood. Firstly, as an apprenticed carpenter and later, as a designer of wooden toys, which made him famous all over the world.
Many of the play objects are crafted exclusively by hand and are world renowned for their beautiful forms, colours, intelligent constructions, adequate materials and perfect craftsmanship. Only high-quality woods from environmentally-friendly "Green“ lumber sites in Europe are used. All Naef play objects are coloured with only the highest quality paints and varnishes. All items are inspected throughout many different stages of the production process.
Naef commitment to quality is what allows children to explore the world through their senses. For many children “play” presents the opportunity for new experiences and discovery. As a producer of children’s toys Naef carries a social responsibility. Although Naef toys are sold world-wide in many exclusive shops, Neaf feels strongly that they should be available to all children.
